I'm from Texas so i the spring, summer, and mmost of the fall i use a half helmet, for the rest of the fall and the winter i use a full faced helmet.
That's just me though. I don't really dress for safety. I dress for warmth. That's why the only time anyone would see me in a leather coat or jacket would be the winter.
The half helmet is a helluva lot lighter and i can see better with it that i can the full faced helmet. That's why i prefer it.
